Non-traditional Microloan

Most underserved and disadvantaged entrepreneurs, especially immigrants, refugees, African-Americans, women and other minorities in Southwestern Pennsylvania who aspire to establish, expand, or stabilize a microenterprise often lack the financial resources, credit history, or personal assets to qualify for business loans or assistance from conventional institutions.

In 2010, CEED started to offer non-traditional microloans as part of our Skills to Wealth initiative to broaden access for underserved and disadvantaged entrepreneurs to micro-financing for small entrepreneurial ventures.  The loan program provides low-interest flexible financing within the range of $100 – $10,000 to new and existing businesses.
