CEED has collaborated with Christian Management Enterprises (CME) to develop a pragmatic Financial Literacy and Wealth Building training targeting underserved and disadvantaged populations. CEED and CME in June 2011 started to offer these trainings free of charge throughout ten counties of Southwestern Pennsylvania. These seminars are designed to provide information and assistance to individuals who may be interested in starting a business or to existing business owners. The seminars are conducted by members of the CEED staff in cooperation with Dr. Howard B. Slaughter, President and CEO of the Christian Management LLC, and Mr. Justin Coleman, a wealth-building strategist.
CEED partnered with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Point Park University, Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC) and Allegheny County Department of Minority Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise to increase the reach of our Financial Literacy and Wealth Building seminars throughout all 10 counties in which we serve.
